Hôtel Michelet Odéon

The best aspect about Hôtel Michelet Odéon is its location. It is in the middle of the very popular Latin Quarter - a neighborhood frequented by both tourists and locals alike. A stay at Hôtel Michelet Odéon puts you just walking distance from such major sites as Notre Dame Cathedral, the Sorbonne, Luxembourg Gardens, the Pantheon, Cafe Flore and the famous Shakespeare and Company book.

Rooms - Nicely renovated with a modern, minimal, loft-like feel. I liked the various design elements - exposed brick combined with colorful and stylish bedding. I opted for a Standard Room, which included one double bed, a writing desk and two chairs. There was adequate space with which to move around. Technically, two people could have comfortably stayed in my Standard Room. Various lamps and light fixtures ensured the room was well lit.

Closet Space - Very, very limited. The space available could really only accommodate one person. Larger rooms may have much more storage space. Call ahead to inquire before making a reservation.

Bathroom - Clean, modern and equipped with nice toiletries - but quite small.

Service - Hotel staff was extremely friendly and professional. Very helpful at providing information and orientating visitors. I was given some pretty nice restaurant suggestions. English spoken.

Extras - Free WiFi; daily room service.

Rates - For the location, reasonably priced. 125 euros/night (Winter Season).

Safety - As a female traveling solo, I felt very safe during my stay at Hôtel Michelet Odéon.

The same goes for walking around the area both day a night.

Location - Excellent! 6th Arrondissement. Two blocks from Boulevard Saint-Germain in the Latin Quarter. Very close to a multitude of bars, restaurants and fashion boutiques. Walking around you’ll encounter locals, students as well as tourists.

Accessibility - There is an elevator. If you are needing a “wheelchair accessible” room, call ahead. As I understand, there is only one room reconfigured specifically for guests in wheelchairs.

The only issue I had with Hôtel Michelet Odéon pertains to the fact that I could hear the shower next door as well as people walking in the hallway and on the stairs. However, that was during the day. At night the hotel was quite peaceful.

In my opinion, Hôtel Michelet Odéon makes for a wonderful home base or jumping off point from which to explore Paris. The hotel puts you very close to a multitude of Paris “Must See’s”and “Must Do’s.” In addition, the rooms are relatively comfortable and reasonably priced .
