Gail’s Artisan Bakery

London -

When I visit the Tate Modern Museum, I always make time for a bite to eat at Gail’s Artisan Bakery. Attractive surroundings and very relaxing. I always receive a friendly vibe from the staff.

Although well known for handmade breads and pastries, the breakfast and lunch options at Gail’s Artisan Bakery are pretty tasty, healthy and relatively inexpensive. In the past, I have selected a small salad (£5.00) that included beetroot, lentils, goat cheese, hazelnuts and sun dried tomatoes - delicious! The last time I was there (February, Pre- Covid), I had the sweet corn pancakes with avocado salsa, sour cream and tomato relish (£7.5) - again delicious. Gail’s also serves a pretty good cup of cappuccino (£2.50).

This cute and modern bakery makes for a great stop before (or after) touring the city or attending an art exhibition. Great food, inviting atmosphere and affordable prices definitely qualifies Gail’s Artisan Bakery as Chic But Cheap!
